CLOSURE CONTOURS PROMISE
ETHEREAL MYSTICISM

RONKONKOMA, NY - Augros Inc. has captured the magic of a dream in an injection molded package that appears as light as air and as wispy as angel wings. The precision oriented package, designed as a body cream line extension for the launch of the Dream Angel Heavenly fragrance line for Intimate Beauty Company, is made up of five components with four separate decorative steps. The gently arced domed closure with soft multi-level frosted elevations features a central placement for the silk-screened logo. Augros has engineered the closure and jar so that the logo on the closure comes to rest in exact alignment with the Victoria Secret logo on the jar.

TECH INDUSTRIES DESIGNS
CLOSURE FOR AVON

WOONSOCKET, RI - Tech Industries recently had the opportunity to design a distinctive closure for Avon's Perceive for Men. Tech welcomed the chance to support the global launch of Avon's new cologne. The multifaceted cap was molded in Surlyn®. The walls on the cap are almost an inch thick at one point, giving the closure its unique, geometric appearance. Although the closure is much thicker in this area, Tech was able to ensure that the same shade of color was maintained throughout. There are no dark spots or light areas to mar the continuity of the color. The light reflected through the different dimensions of the closure makes for a stunning display. The closure is clean and crisp, with an edgy, modern feel, much like the fragrance itself.

PEERLESS TUBE SECURES PATENT
FOR SLIM TOP AEROSOL CONTAINER

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Peerless Tube Company announced that it received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its Slim Top™ aerosol can. The Application on this distinctive, tapered can is expected to be issued into formal United States patent in approximately four weeks. The Slim Top aerosol can was developed by Peerless after recognizing the success of shaped containers in the beverage industry. Peerless executives correctly anticipated that the appeal of these unique packages would carry over into other product categories. Helene Curtis was the first company in the personal care products market to adopt the Slim Top can for their ThermaSilk heat-activated hair care line. The Peerless Slim Top can features recyclable aluminum. It is available in a wide range of diameters with inside or outside curls, various internal linings, and a wide selection of external finishes.

RISDON PRODUCES PACKAGE FOR REVLON

NAUGATUCK, CT - Risdon-AMS produced the primary components for Revlon's Color Stay 'Liquid Lip.' They manufactured the bottle, cap-rod assembly, and flock tip applicator. Risdon-AMS produced bottles to match specific colors. In addition, they developed 48 different hot stamping dyes for labeling each of the bottles with the name of the particular shade. "Precisely matching a full spectrum of colors and stamping 48 bottle colors with different labeling copy is not an easy task," said Garry Wilson, Risdon-AMS Marketing Manager for Eye Care. "Typically the challenge is to match one or two colors per product and apply one common labeling copy. Our experience in packaging customization, however enabled us to deliver an exact match on Revlon's many colors as well as the different copy. This seamless blending of cosmetic product and packaging component encourages the end-user to perceive a value added for the product as a whole."
